At ALMA 2015, Tim Gladwin of Warkwyn Associates presented “Mitigating Enclosure Resonances by Mapping Vibration Patterns.” The presentation examined traditional methods, as well as new methods employing the the Klippel Scanning Laser Vibrometer for assessing and controlling panel resonance. Three real world case studies are included that illustrate the kinds of vibration problems speaker designers struggle with.
